Dr. Rebecca Houck graduated from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. Shortly after, she joined Banfield Pet Hospital in Houston, Texas and practiced veterinary medicine for four years before moving to Roanoke, Virginia. Once in Roanoke, she was promoted to Lead Doctor and then to Chief of Staff in 2011. Her interests include dermatology and animal behavior, and one day she'd like to become boarded in one or both disciplines.

Veterinarian
Dr. Desai grew up in India before she moved to United States for higher education. She graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 2016 and joined the Banfield team in Marietta, GA. She moved to Roanoke in 2018. She is interested in soft tissue surgery and neurology. In her spare time, she likes reading, cooking, and spending time with her husband and her fur baby Penny

Dr. Caroline Snuffer
Veterinarian
Dr. Caroline Snuffer grew up in Atlanta, GA and spent time interning at Zoo Atlanta's reptile department, while obtaining her undergraduate degree. She then graduated from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2016 and moved to Virginia after finishing school. She originally practiced in Abingdon, VA, then moved to the New River Valley, and joined the Banfield team in Roanoke, VA. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking and spending time outside with her husband and son. She also enjoys running trail and road races with her dog, Jericho. Dr. Snuffer has a special interest in exotic animal and feline medicine.

Julie Sanborn, LVT
Practice Manager
Julie grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and moved to Blacksburg to earn her Bachelor of Science degree in animal science from Virginia Tech. She later went back to school to earn her Bachelor of Science degree in veterinary technology, so that she could be boarded as a Licensed Veterinary Technician. After going back to school, Julie practiced in specialty and emergency medicine for several years, before joining the Banfield team in Roanoke in 2015. When she is not enjoying the company of all of her patients at work, Julie enjoys playing outside with her two dogs, Dank and Kaya. They enjoy gardening, hiking, camping, kayaking, fishing, and exploring the great outdoors any way they can!

Veterinary Technician
Cheyenne graduated from Blue Ridge Community College with a degree in Veterinary Technology in 2020. She joined the Banfield team in October 2020 shortly after receiving her Veterinary Technician License. Cheyenne currently has two cats, Glitch and Millie, and has a passion for caring for exotic pets. During her free time, Cheyenne enjoys hiking and enjoying nature.

Virginia Osburn
Veterinary Assistant
Virginia just recently joined the Banfield family as a Veterinary Assistant in November 2020. She recently graduated from Virginia Tech with her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal and Poultry Sciences. In undergrad, she studied companion/lab animals, equine, and livestock species while also working in undergraduate research with rodents. In the future, she hopes to attend vet school and earn her DVM, tracking in livestock animals. In the meantime, she works to share her passion for all animals with her coworkers and clients. When she isn’t working, Virginia enjoys spending quality time with her husband and their house full of pets!

Blair has been with Banfield since 2005 but joined the Roanoke team in May 2017. She graduated from Virginia Tech in 2008 with a bachelor's degree in animal science. She loves all things Disney and also loves to travel whenever her schedule allows. Blair doesn’t currently have any pets of her own, but considers her clients’ pets a big part of her extended family!

Chelsea has been with Banfield since March 2011 and in the animal care field since 2006. She absolutely loves taking care of cats and dogs, and educating clients on the best possible care for their pets! Chelsea has 2 children, Kira and Elan, and 4 pets, Pit Bulls Lily and Royce and Kitties Demi and Poe.

Amanda is a mother of 3 teenagers, is an animal enthusiast, and loves her job as a veterinary assistant on our team. She has acquired quite the collection of animals in her home including 4 dogs, 2 ferrets, 2 chinchillas, a bearded dragon, and a guinea pig! When not at work, Amanda enjoys hanging out with her family and friends. She hopes to pursue a career as a LVT in the future and is looking forward to a long career with Banfield!

She is a native of Virginia with a strong passion for both the equine and canine industry. She is a certified equine and canine sports massage therapist that knows her way around an animal. Sam is a professional in the equine industry with her knowledgeable skills and passion that allow her to train high caliber equine. Her love for animals will carry her a long ways here at Banfield. Corinne is new to our location but not to Banfield! She is currently a vet student at the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in Blacksburg, and has an immense interest in working with exotic pets. She has been a martial artist since age three, and used to be an NCAA Division III lacrosse player. She absolutely LOVES napping and hanging out with her dog, Milo. Corinne joined us in the summer of 2019 and has hit the ground running at our location. She also has the most contagious, beautiful smile!
