    Dr. Ting-Ting Yang


    Dr. Ting-Ting Yang grew up in Holmdel, NJ but is originally from Taipei, Taiwan. She attended Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, studying animal science and biology while working as an animal care assistant at the university’s research farm. She graduated from Western University of Health Sciences Veterinary School and joined Banfield in 2017. She is passionate about preventive care for companion animals and enjoys working with pet owners to find the best treatment/diagnostic options for their pets. Her interests outside of work include gardening and cooking. She currently lives in Orange County with her 11 fruit trees and 8 orchids. More Details >>

    Dr. Mahsa Mirzaei


    Dr. Mahsa Mirzaei attended Jondishapour University and graduated in 2009, and joined Banfield in September 2017 at our Lake Forest hospital. She has a passion for small animal medicine and states "there is no better feeling than helping an innocent sick animal to get back to the normal life and enjoying it. It gives more meaning to my life as a human being." When not at work, Dr. Mirzaei loves spending time with her husband and her beloved female Himalayan cat, Lucinda.     Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar


    Dr. Mukhtar joined Banfield in October 2016 to pursue his passion of helping pets in Woburn, MA. Then at the start of 2018, he moved back to Orange County, CA to enjoy the beautiful sunny weather. Dr. Mukhtar has a master’s degree and PhD in microbiology, as well as a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Agriculture Faisalabad, Pakistan. Before joining Banfield, he was a veterinary technician and also worked for Pfizer doing anti-cancer research, and Harvard Medical School doing anti-HIV research. He has lived in 3 different countries and 4 states in the U.S. Dr. Mukhtar believes in preventive care medicine and also has a focused passion for soft tissue surgeries, dentistry and treating complex illnesses.     Practice Manager

    Janae has been with Banfield for over 4 years and has always known she would end up working with animals. As a child, her family would often take trips to Mexico and she would try to bring all the stray dogs home to nurse back to health. As she got older, she volunteered for several local rescue groups in Orange and Riverside Counties. Janae has never had a more fulfilling job than working at Banfield, making a difference in the lives of pets and their owners.     Nancy Villalobos, RVT

    Shift Lead

    Nancy has been with Banfield since 2010 and shift lead since 2016. She started her career with Banfield in Utah, but moved back to California where she was born and raised. Nancy takes great satisfaction in being able to help sick animals recover from their injuries or illnesses, and loves seeing a previously sick pet come in fully recovered and happy. It gives her great joy to know she made a difference for them and their pet parent. Nancy received her bachelor's degree in human development from the University of Utah. She also had the opportunity to take part in the Banfield Academy (a program that helps people obtain their RVT license), which she received in 2017. Nancy has a bearded dragon named Billy and would love to own an Australian shepherd some day.     Veterinary Technician

    Kimberly (or Kim) has been with Banfield since August 2015. She attended Carrington College in Pomona and obtained her RVT license in October 2017. She loves all animals but especially cats. When not at work, Kim enjoys hiking and other outdoor adventures, spending lots of money on things she doesn't need, watching movies in the theater and going on culinary adventures. More Details >>

    Sadaf Shalchian Pourkhaljan

    Veterinary Assistant

    Sadaf loves working at Banfield, not only because she gets to spend time with all your loving pets, but also because she gets to learn something new on a daily basis. She is currently preparing to start veterinary school. At Banfield, she started as a Client Service Coordinator, and is now cross-training to become a Veterinary Assistant. She has a lot of experience interning and volunteering at different animal clinics, shelters, and zoos in Orange County. She believes in rehabilitating animals who can later rehabilitate human via animal therapy. With the help of nonprofit animal therapy organizations, she wants to create a community where animals are rescued, pets are saved, and humans are given another chance at life after PTSD, depression, and other mental and physical disabilities.     Samantha has been working at Banfield for about 4 years and absolutely loves it. She graduated from Cal State Monterrey Bay with a degree in cellular biology and is currently working on getting her RVT license.     Taylor Weigand

    Veterinary Assistant

    Taylor joined Banfield in 2018. She knew she wanted to work with animals since she was 10 years old when she received her first pig and rabbit through her 4H program. During Taylor's 11 years in 4H, she raised over 100 rabbits, 9 pigs, 4 lambs, 3 pygmy goats, 2 dogs and multiple pet rats. She attended Stanbridge University for veterinary technology and is receiving her RVT license this year. During Taylor's time at Stanbridge, she was the president of the student chapter NAVTA and completed over 400 hours of community service for animals. When not at work, Taylor volunteers as a rabbit leader for her 4H group teaching kids how to properly care for animals and how to show them in competitions.     Client Service Coordinator

    Tanya joined Banfield in 2017 as a Client Service Coordinator. She has volunteered with animal sanctuaries and rescues, and previously worked in grooming for two and a half years. She is currently cross-training be a Veterinary Assistant and plans to get her RVT license with a specialty in exotics. She has two dogs, four birds and several reptiles, and in her free time, Tanya enjoys hiking, spending time with her animals and family, and going on road trips.     Kirstyn has worked in the veterinary field for over a decade and joined Banfield in 2007 as one of the original team members of our Lake Forest hospital. She holds her bachelor's degree from CSFU and completed a semester abroad with the University of Pittsburgh. She enjoys spending time with her family, training for races, hiking, paddle boarding and painting.
