Parasite Control options
Banfield offers a full range of preventive options to protect your dog against fleas, ticks, heartworms and other potentially deadly parasites. Your Banfield veterinarian can help you choose the right preventive option for your dog.
Spay/Neuter option
Perhaps you have adopted or rescued an adult dog that is not yet spayed or neutered. Or maybe your adult female has had a litter of pups and it’s time for spaying. Adding a spay/neuter option to your plan is easy and affordable when spread over the cost of your wellness plan term.
WISDOM PANEL™ Health option
WISDOM PANEL™ Health is a DNA test that screens for over 150 genetic disease mutations and detects more than 350 canine breeds, types and varieties using a small blood sample. This type of early detection test provides more information to you and your veterinarian to help plan for your dog’s health, behavior or training and nutrition needs.
Additional Dental option
Regular cleanings are important to prevent infection, tooth loss, pain and the potential for heart and kidney disease. Some breeds need more than one dental cleaning a year. Your Banfield veterinarian can assess your dog’s dental health and may recommend the addition of this option to your Active Prevention Care Plan or Special Care Plan.
Canine Genetic Analysis™ DNA Test Option
Your dog's genetic signature is unique and may hold the key to many hidden healthcare indicators. Our Canine Genetic Analysis™ DNA test (CGA)—only available through Banfield— tests for 140+ genetic disease mutations and detects more than 250 breeds, types, and varieties. We recommend genetic testing for all dogs, both pure and mixed breeds, to provide important information to assist our veterinarians in assessing your dog's specific needs.
*Canine Genetic Analysis/option not available to clients of Banfield Pet Hospitals in Puerto Rico.
