Dr. Amanda Newton is a native of Yonkers, NY. She completed her undergraduate degree in animal science at Clemson University in 2008 and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from NC State University in 2012. Dr. Newton currently resides in Durham with her husband, daughter, 3 cats - Mason, Beau, and Smush (a fluffy white Persian kitty!), 1 dog - a labradoodle named Dixie Belle, and an African grey parrot named Snuggles. When she is not taking care of Banfield's fluffy friends, she can be found riding her horse, Lucky. She and her husband also love to travel and spend time with their family and friends. Her favorite part of being a veterinarian is getting to meet new people and their pets, and developing lifelong relationships with both.
