Dr. Thompson graduated from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2013. She initially worked in private practice treating mixed animals (from cows to pigs to puppies and everything in between) in Chester County, Pennsylvania. She then transitioned to the Banfield family, first working in Northern Virginia before moving back to Pennsylvania. She received undergraduate degrees in animal science and anthropology at the University of Maryland College Park. During her undergraduate career, she was a member of the marching and pep bands (ask her what a mellophone is), and remains a huge Terps fan. When not seeing patients, she can be found spending time with her husband and their two dogs, as well as visiting her family farm in Maryland.
