Dr. Casandra Huelin grew up in Anchorage, Alaska, but has moved around a lot and at last count, has lived in 8 states. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in zoology from Humboldt State University in 2011. She attended the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University in Massachusetts, where she received her DVM degree in 2016. Her professional interests include anesthesia and behavioral medicine. In her free time, she and her golden retriever, Mickie, participate in animal-assisted activities (pet therapy). Dr. Huelin has been volunteering with Pet Partners national organization since 2014. Her other hobbies include hiking and camping with Mickie, yoga, and salsa dancing.
