Dr. Bedford received her Bachelor’s and Master’s of Science degrees in animal science from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She then went on to pursue her passion for veterinary medicine at Tuskegee University where she graduated with her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2003. Since graduation, Dr. Bedford has practiced veterinary medicine on a variety of small and large animals including completion of a four-year residency at the University of Minnesota’s College of Veterinary Medicine and afterwards achieving board certification in Large Animal Internal Medicine by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. In addition to her strong skills in western medicine, Dr. Bedford also has an interest in eastern medicine and is a certified veterinary acupuncturist by the Chi Institute in Reddick, FL. When Dr. Bedford is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and pets, walking on the beach and riding horses.
